Establishment of an electronic marketplace for public procurement

The Norwegian government has established a four-year programme for the introduction of e-commerce in the public sector in Norway. The programme's main project is the establishment of an electronic marketplace for public procurement. This process will enter its most intensive phase as the qualified bidders are presenting their yenders in automn 2001. The first version of the marketplace is planned to be operational from the second quarter of 2002.
